Going in, I already had high expectations for the new Bond. All the reviews were rave and I was already a fan of Craig from Layer Cake.

I’ve always been a fan of Bond. Not always of every movie, but at least the idea of a British secret agent with cool gadgets and hot girls. In my book, Connery will always be the quintessential Bond. He was the original. He will always be Bond. So who is Craig? Craig is like Bond 2.0. He’s tougher, grittier, more sarcastic, and so much more badass.

I wasn’t a fan of Brosnan as Bond. Other than Goldeneye, I thought the latest Bond films were boring and uninspired. If you liked Bond for the Gadgets and the over the top action and villains, you won’t get that here. We have a stripped down version. All Bond has are his wits, his tux, and his girl. And the girl isn’t useless either.

I would say, this is my favourite Bond. It makes Bond a secret agent again where he has to figure out what’s going on and who’s behind it and stop him.
