flash monkeys

When I landed my first full-time gig out of college, I was all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I was all ready and rearin’ to go to tackle some work! Well, my first week there, nada. It was a dry week for work. I was bored out of my skull.
I befriended the flash department, affectionately known as the flash monkeys and painted them (as monkeys) in Photoshop (did a scan of a rough pencil sketch, made some paths using the pen tool, filled paths with medium grey and used burn, dodge, and smudge for the rest). I don’t have the finished versions any more b/c my computer died without me properly backing it up first. I did manage to salvage these earlier stages of the illustrations. I kind of forgot about these too until Tom asked me about them the other nite. So I searched through some earlier disks and here ya go. =) The image on the left is the photo that I based the sketch off of.
