Congratulations Quentin & Nancy!

Woah, another wedding! For the past few years, I’ve attended about 2-4 weddings per year. And I’ve illustrated/designed some invites and programs along the way. This year, I have the honor of designing invites for my friends, Quentin and Nancy. Three words:
Sexy, metal type.

Oh yah, we’re talking brushed stainless steel!

Check out these really gorgeous Neutraface Medium letters. (drool)
I got the idea over sushi when I was talking to Quentin about Chris Gardner’s illustration. We both talked about how we want to use more House Industries’ fonts in our work. Here’s my chance. I remembered this shot in Vanity Fair magazine:

Pretty darn snazzy, huh? Just think of how that will look on a wedding invite. Quentin’s a photographer/designer, so I would probably have him take the shot for me. His fiancé, Nancy loves “baby blue” (PMS 304), which will really look good against the cool steel.
And as an added bonus, check out the letter Q (which of course I will up to good use…considering um, Quentin’s name).
I just emailed them the estimate for the Neutraface family and the metal letters. (fingers crossed) Hopefully, I’ll get the thumbs up to proceed.
