Fujiya & Miyagi

I’ve been having Brighton’s Fujiya & Miyagi’s Ankle Injuries stuck in my head for the past week. Unlike their name suggests, they’re not Japanese or a duo. The story behind the band’s name? Fujiya is the brand of a record player. And as you might have guessed, Miyagi is the character from the movie, The Karate Kid.
The band members are:
Steve Lewis (Fujiya): synths + backing vocals
Matt Hainsby (Ampersand): bass guitar + backing vocals
David Best (Miyagi): vocals + guitar
