OS Blot No. 12 + Friends Process

First I inked the mermaid.
Then I inked blot no. 4.
Then blot no. 11.
Then blot no. 12.
I scanned in the 4 items, copied + pasted them into one document, + composed them in Adobe Photoshop. I set my layer blending mode to “Multiply” for all of the 4 layers + scaled them to my liking. Afterwards, I flattened the image.
I inverted the image by hitting apple + i.
On another layer, I created this blue background by using the gradient tool (and selecting radial gradient). I painted in the other blue reflections with the paintbrush tool. I then blurred it (a lot) using Gaussian blur (Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur).
Try selecting different layer blending modes for the desired effect. This is the “Screen” blending mode.
This is the “Overlay” blending mode.
And that’s it—easy peasy! =)
