Muses

To paraphrase Picasso, when the Muse arrives, she should catch you working. Inspiration, as they say, is mostly perspiration. My “Muses” are being around creative individuals and constantly looking at artwork. That’s where I derive my inspiration. I do not believe in the cliché of the artist that can only work when inspired… if you are serious about what you do, you would do it all the time, and yes, sometimes there will be breakthroughs, but these can only happen if you’re active.
