Matrix II, a redesign by Zuzana Licko, is now available for purchase. She completely reworked the original Matrix. There are now seven new members to the Matrix family. Meet Semi Narrow, Semi Wide, Semi Tall, Inline Italic, + 3 weights of Italic. To avoid any confusion, she’s calling these seven lil’ babies Matrix II.
+ Left: the original lower case g
+ Middle: curved version (2005)
+ Right: alternate “single story” g for the Open Type version
Little tweeks—the black bezier path is the Matrix II. The older version is indicated by the red path. Just look at the subtle transition of the curves.
