“Each one of those projects I always conceived as being part of my career… I’ve never worked on anything for long unless I loved it, and if you love something for long enough you take ownership of it.”

Oh, oh, oh, the lovely Leslie Feist! I had the pleasure of listening to this Canadian songbird last nite. What a voice!!! Hearing her at McCarren Park was just so amazing. So much better than any of her CDs or even her live recordings.
When she sang So Sorry, I wanted to just break down + cry because her voice is just so, so heart-achingly beautiful. She totally played the Red Demos version of Leisure Suite, which I think is a sexy, weak-knees kind of song. And of course, there was her hit Mushaboom, which makes me unexplainable happy + grin like an idiot every time I hear it. She’s just so charming with her lil’ stories in between songs. (Sigh) I left having the hugest girl crush on her, haha.
