Oh, oh, oh, the lovely Leslie Feist! I had the pleasure of listening to this Canadian songbird last nite. What a voice!!! Hearing her at McCarren Park was just so amazing. So much better than any of her CDs or even her live recordings.

When she sang So Sorry, I wanted to just break down + cry because her voice is just so, so heart-achingly beautiful. She totally played the Red Demos version of Leisure Suite, which I think is a sexy, weak-knees kind of song. And of course, there was her hit Mushaboom, which makes me unexplainable happy + grin like an idiot every time I hear it. She’s just so charming with her lil’ stories in between songs. (Sigh) I left having the hugest girl crush on her, haha.

Hmm, did you visit any petting zoos while I wasn't looking?
  • It couldn't have been from when I was with Curtis, because I was showing off my legs to you at your house when I first arrived, and there was nary a bite to be found on them then. Central Park is just my best guess at the moment, though as this isn't the first time they've all decided to make me their playmate I think the species as a whole must just love me a lot more than it really should.

    Hi Zach,

Aye! They were both good acts—totally went online yesterday to purchase a copy of Spirit If because I was so impressed. I um, really don't think that you got parasites from Central Park. My legs were exposed too, as I was wearing a skirt. I think you picked up the bites from when you did you weird NJ thing with Curtis. Thanks for coming along!!!

    Cheers,

  • It was great seeing her (and even moreso seeing Spirit If... in action) Wednesday, even if I did pick up parasites in Central Park. I'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures from the show.
