I just discovered London-based folk singer, Emma Lee Morris, aka Emmy the great. She’s been recording with Bright Eyes‘ Mike Mogis. She’s got this shy-gal, a lil’-too-open-and-honest sense of humor that I like. And she’s completely adorable. Check out her Black Cab Session viddy here—one song, one take, one cab ride.

So she lived in the US for a bit first? Interesting. It really is possible to get a nice British accent. It's so tempting to blow off work, move to the UK, get a British accent, and then woo American girls with it... haha...

I like the cabby though. He seems like the kinda bloke who would know where all the good English pubs are.

She's from HK, then moved to the States. She picked up the accent when she moved to England. You could pick one up too if you lived there long enough!

    I wish I had a British accent. :/

She's cute, but I like the cab driver... he really sells it!

    Nice song.
