Review: The Last Winter

Rating: 1/4 stars

The Last Winter is a movie about a team who go up north to setup a drilling station. People start going crazy and start dying and there are strange “wind creatures” that leave foot prints in the snow.

I can understand how global warming is a hot issue (pun intended). Considering it has to do with our home and our future, it’s something we should definitely be concerned about. The Last Winter tries to tell us that there are weird “wind creatures” hiding under the permafrost. And due to the rising temperature, they’re now free to bite and kidnap people.

The main flaw is the conflict isn’t really set up. No one directly confronts these creatures that start running around. For the most part, that’s all they do, run around. There’s some argument between a tree-hugger and one of the oil men, but it’s nothing earth shattering.

In the end, I was just bored throughout the whole thing.
