Project: Butter Side Down

This past Sunday, we started brainstorming ideas for an action movie. It’s going to be an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s “The Butter Battle Book”. We got some great ideas and there’s a really strong vision for it. Last night, I finished an early draft of the overall plot and structure. I need to go over it and make sure everything makes sense, then I can start on the actual script.

It’s going to be like a live action anime, over the top, gritty, but not too serious.

Should be lots of fun. :)

    I'm trying to research right now, but I think the general artist lack of interest in action weaponry caused my exasperation last week. The fun, quasi-cheesy stuff prolly appealed to us more than the building of weapons we don't understand. Of course, I know it's part of the deal; I've just been thinking.

    Also, I really think "Shadow Land" has a lot of potential. I haven't read the script or anything, but the falling away is intriguing... Casting will be hard for that, though, eh?

    I think you're right on all counts. It just comes w/ the territory. I'm interested in Shadowland too. BSD just has a lot of prep that needs to be done.
