Video: Memorial Retreat 2008

On Thursday, I was asked to throw a quick video of the Memorial Retreat together. I spent Friday capping, making proxies, and organizing the footage. I didn’t actually get to edit it until Saturday night. As I was getting ready to render out the video, I realized I hadn’t made the HD footage yet, which resulted in a long night.
It was really difficult getting some of the shots because it was so bright out. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have played with the exposure as much as I did, which resulted in a few blown out shots.
When the events started, I had to choose who I was going to cover. I first chose Black, but when they dominated the first two events, I knew that it wouldn’t be a very good story. At the time, Green was in last place, so I went to cover them. Over the course of the day, Green went from 4th to 2nd.
