Apparently, there’s a script floating around Hollywood, but everyone’s afraid to mention who wrote it. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but it seems like the consensus is that the guy has poor grammar, confuses common words like “their” and “they’re”, “to” and “too” and has other grievous spelling mistakes and formatting mistakes.

Despite all that, it’s a pretty great script. You can read reviews over at Mystery Man and Alligators in a Helicopter

They used to be magical, but haven't really felt the last few. The links didn't work for me, so I can't read it for myself, but this one looks to be better. But they're definitely overdone and messy.

Where you been, haven't seen you around in a while.
  • I forget if it was him or Paul Thomas Anderson who once said that his screenplays would never have sold if he hadn't been willing to direct them himself, though I think such a sentiment applies well to both of them. One of his big appeals is that he makes these big, overdone, messy films, that by no means should work, and yet somehow he makes them magical. It's only natural that his scripts would be the same way, giving people headaches at the same time they're rushing to finish them.
