Ninja vs Penguin

Penguin August 1st, 2008

I woke up kind of late, with a bit of rumbling in my tummy, but didn’t think too much about it. I just ate some bars I had brought with me for breakfast and played Final Fantasy: Revenant Wings as I waited for Marcia.

Marcia came by a little after 9 and said that there was breakfast for me. I went down, ate a little bit, but knew that we were on a time crunch, so we left.

We grabbed a taxi to Marcia’s church and we interviewed her pastor. Afterwards, we went to her service.

The singing was great, even without electricity, their voices were so strong and you could really feel like they were worshiping God, not just singing.

After singspiration, there were announcements and then the pastor began to pray for people. It was amazing. I could really feel the presence of God there and the power flowing. It was electric.

Marcia had to go early, so we left around 11:30, just as the pastor was about to speak. We went outside and managed to grab the same taxi we came in on.

For lunch, we had more tortellinis. I didn’t really feel like eating, but I ate anyway.

After lunch, we did some translation and then Marcia had to go home.

Around 3pm, I didn’t feel so good, so I took a quick nap. 4pm and I got the runs. 5pm, I took some medicine. Man, was that a nasty evening. I would sleep, get up to the bathroom, and sleep some more. I would swing between being a little chill to being warm.

Not fun.
