Ninja vs Penguin_California

My Christmas gift came early this year — I’ve been accepted into Art Center College of Design’s illustration program! And I cannot stop grinning. ^______________________^

I gave my two weeks notice today, and I still have a lot of loose ends to tidy up at work before I can get to packing for my cross-country move. So I will take a pause in blogging on NvP and continue back in the new year on January 17, 2010.

Happy holidays to you and your loved ones and much thanks for your friendship, kind comments, love, and support!

Hugs and peace,
Ninja

‘Where the Wild Things Are’ through the eyes of Geoff McFetridge

where-the-wild-things-are-through-the-eyes-of-geoff-mcfetridge

Los Angeles-based illustrator/art director Geoff McFetridge has created a lovely collection of work for Spike Jonze’s movie adaptation of the beloved children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are. A sampling of his WTWTA work has been offset printed and bound and is now available for purchase.

I was given the opportunity to interpret not only Spike Jonze’s interpretation of Where the Wild Things Are, but also Maurice Sendak’s original book. Like any kid growing up in the 70’s I was greatly influenced by Mr. Sendak’s books. His books are not just on my bookshelf they are in my blood.
