Penguin redesigned their classic book series! I love the patterns and bold color combination — designer Coralie Bickford-Smith certainly did a lovely job. They’re almost too pretty to read. Almost.
These hardcover books are a steal at under $14 a pop. I already plan on picking up a copy of Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice for my dear mum.

His collage-based illustrations mix bold color, 60s retro, and modern graphics. His clients include Wired Magazine, Paste Magazine, American Airlines, Stereogum, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

Husband and wife design team John and Linda Meyers (aka Wary Meyers Decorative Arts) have a wonderful, new DIY book! The book features 45 reuse/repurpose projects complete with instructions and process sketches. Here’s a preview of some of their creative projects from the Wary Meyers’ Tossed & Found book.
Portland native Shaun Sundholm is a media designer and photographer. He loves tacos and type.
This project is the firstborn child conceived from a life-long love affair with photography and typography. The photo series was shot at an abandoned (and rumored to be haunted) ranch in central Oregon and the type was inspired by my early days as a screen-printer. These pieces complete the sentences that the pictures and the words could never quite say on their own.
Watching Milton Glaser’s magical color pencil move and make forms makes me want to draw!
For me, drawing has always been an absolutely primary way of encountering reality. I’m astonished by drawing. I always think of every drawing as a kind of miraculous occurrence.
