Los Angeles-based illustrator/art director Geoff McFetridge has created a lovely collection of work for Spike Jonze’s movie adaptation of the beloved children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are. A sampling of his WTWTA work has been offset printed and bound and is now available for purchase.
I was given the opportunity to interpret not only Spike Jonze’s interpretation of Where the Wild Things Are, but also Maurice Sendak’s original book. Like any kid growing up in the 70’s I was greatly influenced by Mr. Sendak’s books. His books are not just on my bookshelf they are in my blood.

I love a man with a healthy case of OCD. On December 12, 2008,MythBusters co-host Adam Savage spoke at the Entertainment Gathering. Here, he gave a presentation on his personal obsessions and explained how his fascination with dodo bird skeletons eventually led to creating an exact bronze-cast replica of the statue from the 1941 Humphrey Bogart movie, The Maltese Falcon.
Hoop Dreams is a documentary about two African-american boys with aspirations of the NBA. It starts with them in high school, follows them into college, with their hopes of going pro. It’s a fantastic film which is both inspiring and sobering at the same time.
