I think I learned more about Abraham Lincoln through Maira Kalman’s visual essay/mini biography than I ever did in school. She Beautifully pairs paintings with words as she tells her admiration for Mr. Abraham Lincoln.

I can’t stop grinning over Christoph Niemann’s clever LEGO New York City for the NY Times. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Maira Kalman is back at the NY Times! I just viewed her And the Pursuit of Happiness painting series. (insert content sigh here) It’s such a treat to experience her trip to Washington DC through her keen observations and thoughtful words. Thank you, Maira!
