Timecode Calculator

If you’re like me, you’re tired of manually calculating differences or additions in timecode. Counting to 24 to add to the minutes ends up confusing the brain. Luckily, there’ a timecode calculator. You can specify how many frames per second, the start, end, and whether you are adding and subtracting. And if you lucky enough to be working with film, you can calculate keyframes. Nice useful tool.

Video: Everything You See is Fake

If you didn’t know already, video has entered the Photoshop age. Where we no longer trust photos to tell the true story, we can no longer trust video to show the whole story either.

Compositing, masking, and other video techniques have gotten so good that they’re nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. We’re not even getting into computer generated graphics either. With a little color correcting and chroma keying, we can do almost anything.
