If you weren’t part of the lucky few to nab tickets to Stefan Sagmeister’s sold out “Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far” talk next Tuesday, you can still check out his interactive exhibition (of the same title) at Deitch Projects, map. The exhibition is on until February 23, 2008.

“Workers of the sanitary movement Sulabh International of India are mostly scavengers who, by birth, have to undertake the physically and psychologically painful task of collecting human faecal matter, being charged with the blames of a previous life of bad deeds.”

Artist Santiago Sierra uses human excrement for his exhibition at London’s Lisson Gallery. The 21 blocks measure 215 x 75 x 20cm and were collected by scavengers in New Delhi and Jaipur, India.

MoMA’s Department of Architecture, founded in 1932, was the world’s first curatorial department of its kind. This exhibition of drawings and models from the collection celebrates the department’s seventy-fifth birthday and demonstrates the development of its collecting practice, with several recent acquisitions on view. The installation examines themes in the history of modern architecture—including organicism and expressionism; urbanism; visionary architecture; and the art of drawing—that were overlooked in MoMA’s inaugural architecture exhibition, Modern Architecture: An International Exhibition, which defined the International Style for several generations.
